Testing Viva la Diva nailpolish

Hey.

This week I went shopping for a new nailpolish from Kicks Store and I decided to try out Viva la Diva nailpolish!

Beautiful and bright color and lots of shine! However I did realize that this nailpolish is most likely meant as a decoration nailpolish which is added on top of another nailpolish color because of how thin it is.
Below you can see the difference in the thickness of the Viva la Diva nailpolish when compared with Essence's Holo rainbow sparkling nailpolish.

I needed to apply several coats/layers of this nailpolish to achieve this look. However, I love the result and color and I will probably try another color/shade of nailpolish from Viva la Diva.

Turtle nails🐢 and rosey red nails.🌹Nail art hollow stickers. 💅

Hei.

Last fall I ordered a lot of nail art stuff online and this time I finally decided to test these nailart hollow stickers for the second time.😁 The first time I wasn't patient enough and didn't let the first layer dry.

It is important to have the base color dry first because the nail art hollow sticker will otherwise stick to the first nailpolish and it is also important to carefully add the second nailpolish evenly so it doesn't make a mess.

I used two different shades of green and called them Turtle nails! 🐢🐢🐢🐢

I used a light green base color, I then let them dry and then used the nailart tool to apply the darker green on top.

These worked out so well that I also wanted to try red shades. I used a pink base color and shiny red on top. I call them Rosey nails.🌹😊

Nailart: Mirror powder.

Hei,

Couple months ago I decided to order more nailart supplies from online as here in Finland nailart supplies seem quite expensive when compared to online stores from other countries.
I chose an online store called Light in the Box, which has a big selection of nailart supplies. I ordered shine powders, stamps, glitters, etc. The glitters were great, but the stamps are not. I've tried the nailart stamps with all my nailpolishes and even tried it with new nailpolishes and none of them work  😔
I've also tried the shiny mirror powders and some of them have worked well but then one of them not so well.
This mirror powder worked well as seen below.

I used a black base color and then started applying the mirror powder. First it looked black with a purple shine but then I added a layer of see-through nailpolish and added more mirror powder and then the final color and effect came. I then also covered it with a protecting layer of see-through nailpolish. 😊👌

Then I also tried silver mirror powder that I had also baught from the store. This seemed to work as I applied it but for some reason when I applied the see-through nailpolish the mirror effect dissapeared and it just looked shiny.

I also accidentally decorated my remote while doing my nails. 😜

Gold and silver nail foils 👌😉

Hei,

Last week I did really quick nails and wanted to try something playful so I did nailart with the theme of bees. (Below) Anyhow as last week I kept it simple, I wanted to some very pretty nailart now!

Last weeks nails:

This time I took out my nail foils, I had silver and gold nail foils and decided to use both. I used black nailpolish as the base color and then applied silver nail foils on half and gold nail foils on the other half.

I always start by applying a big piece of the foil with a side as straight as possible and then start adding smaller pieces on top and onto the parts I still want to cover.

Using the nail foils can be frustrating as it is very thin and easily breaks into even smaller pieces. But stay patient and you can get very nice nails!
Just remember to not breath heavily towards your work, otherwise the foils will fly off. 😅
